Decision Made in Del. Doc's Sex Assault Case

Judge William Carpenter, Jr. will announce his decision on Thursday. The doctor is facing life in prison.

A Delaware judge is ready to render his verdict in the trial of a former pediatrician accused of sexually assaulting scores of young patients over more than a decade.

Judge William Carpenter Jr. will announce his decision in the case of Earl Bradley on Thursday in Georgetown.

The 58-year-old Bradley waived his right to a jury trial last month after Carpenter denied a defense motion to suppress videotaped evidence seized during a 2009 search of Bradley's former
office complex in Lewes. Prosecutors said Bradley recorded more than 13 hours of videos showing him abusing the children, mostly toddlers.

If convicted, Bradley could face life in prison for each of the 14 rape charges against him. He also is charged with several counts of assault and sexual exploitation of a child.
