The court is one of only four court systems nationwide selected to participate in a two-year pilot program.
Family Court Chief Judge Chandlee Kuhn tells The News Journal of Wilmington that she thinks the court already does a good job "but I want to see if we can do a better job."
She says she thinks the state was selected for the program because it has a dedicated and statewide family court system.
The pilot program is sponsored by the Justice Department's Office on Violence Against Women and the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.
