The death of a South Jersey woman whose body was found in a wooded area has been ruled a homicide.
On Sunday around 4:35 p.m., hunters found the body of Jennifer Cruz-Chavez, 37, in a wooded area near Buckshutem Road in Fairfield Township, New Jersey. Chavez, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, was pronounced dead at 6:26 p.m.
On Monday, investigators ruled her death a homicide as a result of blunt force trauma.
No arrests have been made and police have not yet released a description of any suspects.
