Deadly Crash Kills 1, Injures Another in Camden County

Authorities are investigating a deadly crash in Camden County that left one person dead and another injured.

Rescuers rushed Sengching Hwang, 64, to Virtual Hospital, but she succummbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at 7:56 p.m., authorities said.

Hwang was traveling eastbound on Evesham Road near the Avian Plaza in Voorhees Township, New Jersey just after 7 p.m. when she struck a 2011 Hyundai Elantra, which was attempting to exit the shopping center, police said.

Both vehicles then veered off the roadway and slammed into several trees before coming to a stop.

The Elantra's driver, 32-year-old Kimberly Wardwell, was hurt in the accident. Medics transported her to Cooper University Hospital, werhe she is listed in stable condition, officials said.

Voorehees Police continue to investigate the crash.
