Pennsylvania All-Terrain Vehicle Crash Claims 16-Year-Old Passenger

Counselors were being brought in to a western Pennsylvania school district where a 16-year-old boy was killed in an all-terrain vehicle crash.

State police said the boy, Briggs Buck, of Chicora, was a passenger on the ATV when it crashed sometime after 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Buck and the driver — another 16-year-old — were both wearing helmets. The driver suffered only minor injuries after he and Buck were both thrown off the vehicle.

Police said the crash happened on a rural road in Fairview Township, Butler County, about 40 miles north of Pittsburgh.

Police have not released the name of the driver, or said whether he'll be charged or cited in the crash.

Buck was a student at the Karns City School District.
