The deaths of a couple found dead by their daughter in their long-time Philadelphia home Thursday has now been ruled a homicide by Philadelphia Detectives.
Authorities returned to the home on the 2500 block of North Spangler Street in the Strawberry Mansion section of the city Friday night to continue their investigation into the mysterious deaths of Algladis and Rufus Perry, 66 and 79, who are the Aunt and Uncle of the Philadelphia Streets Department's Deputy Commissioner -- Donald Carlton.
Upon leaving the home, crime scene investigators confirmed to NBC10 that the deaths are now being investigated as homicides and that they are interviewing two people regarding the investigation.
Authorities responded to reports of a woman screaming outside of the home around 1 a.m. Thursday where the couple's 39-year-old daughter, Keya Perry, found the lifeless bodies of her mother and father, according to police.
Officials said there are no wounds on either body, making the cause of death a mystery to both investigators and relatives.
The Perrys had lived in their redbrick rowhome for more than 40 years, Carlton added.
The investigation continues.
