Dad Indicted in Death of 3-Month-Old Daughter

A Newark man has been indicted on a murder charge in the death of his 3-month-old daughter last year.

Attorney General Beau Biden's office announced the indictment of 40-year-old James Love on Thursday. Love was indicted Tuesday by a New Castle County grand jury.

Prosecutors say Love called 911 on Aug. 17, 2012, to report that the girl wasn't breathing. She was taken to a hospital, where she died two days later.

An autopsy revealed that the girl died of multiple blunt force injuries. Love was indicted on a charge of murder by abuse or neglect.

Love is currently serving a 2-year prison sentence for a February 2013 conviction for unlawful sexual conduct.

He's being held without bail on the murder charge following an arraignment from prison.
