DNA Leads to Arrest in Woman's Murder

A Camden, N.J. man is charged in the February murder of Rhonda Scott, who authorities say was stabbed and burned inside an abandoned house.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says DNA evidence found at the scene led authorities to 24-year-old Charles Sheppard.

Scott, 38, was found dead inside the home on the 1700 block of Tioga Street on February 8.

Sheppard is accused of stabbing Scott multiple times in the back and stomach, killing her.

Investigators say her body was then set on fire.

Prosecutors say Sheppard is currently being held at Camden County Jail on an unrelated case.
