DEA Agent Run Over During Main Line Sting

Agents had guns drawn in the middle of a busy shopping center Tuesday afternoon, sources say

An undercover sting operation on the Main Line left one agent hurt and a suspect on the loose.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents keeping a close eye on Amber Keys as she made her way towards the pharmacy at the ACME supermarket on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, Pa. Tuesday.

Keys, 21, has been under investigation by the agency for allegedly stealing prescription script pads, filling fake prescriptions and then selling the drugs on the street, DEA officials say.

Federal agents attempted to bring the Philadelphia woman into custody after her latest trip to the pharmacy when she ran, officials say.

With guns drawn, the agents also told her alleged getaway driver to get out of the minivan he was driving. He also tried to flee, backing over one of the agents in the process, sources say.

The driver was arrested and brought to the Lower Merion Township Police station, sources say.

NBC Philadelphia reporter Deanna Durante caught the tail end of the action. She used her smartphone to record authorities towing away the blue minivan.

Witnesses told Durante they thought the undercover agents were part of some sort of road rage incident.

The agent is expected to be fine, officials said. The alleged getaway driver is expected to be charged with assaulting a police officer, sources tell NBC Philadelphia.

Keys is still on the run. The woman, who also goes by the name Barbara Mullen, was last known to be living along Girard Avenue, sources said.

DEA officials are asking anyone who may know of her whereabouts to come forward.
