A potbellied pig that was seized by Ridley Township police is back with its owner on Saturday.
Brian Macguire, 24, contacted NBC Philadelphia to say the pig was returned on Friday evening, and he is "working out the legal parts."
Authorities was took possession of the Vietnamese pig when it escaped from Macguire's yard last week.
According to Macguire, authorities had told him that farm animals were prohibited within the township. He said police had sent the animal to a shelter outside of the town's borders.
The miniature swine, named Steve, had endeared himself around the neighborhood. Residents were upset when the unusual pet went missing.
