Woman Hurt After Crashing Into NJ Home: Police

A woman suffered minor injuries after she crashed into a home in Pleasantville, New Jersey Sunday.

Police say the woman was trying to maneuver into a parking space at a complex on Leeds Avenue around 5 p.m. but hit reverse by mistake and slammed her vehicle into the dining room of a nearby house.

Responding police officers rescued the woman as well as three children who were inside the vehicle. The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The three kids were not hurt.

A family was upstairs inside the home watching TV at the time of the crash. They were not injured.

Police continue to investigate the accident but believe it was caused by β€œoperator error.” They also say the driver may be charged with careless driving.
