Hail of Bullets Target Man With Crack on Him: Police

A man with what appeared to be a large large amount of crack cocaine on him appeared to be targeted after parking his girlfriend’s car overnight.

Someone opened fire on the 34-year-old man after he got out of the car along Angora Terrace, not far from S 57th Street and Baltimore Avenue, in Philadelphia’s Kingsessing neighborhood around 1 a.m. Thursday.

The shooter or shooters appear to have "targeted" the victim as he got out of the car with his girlfriend, said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small. The man collapsed between two parked cars with a gunshot wound to his head.

Police rushed the man – who apparently had a large amount of crack on him – to Presbyterian Hospital in extremely critical condition, said Small.

Investigators found at least 15 shell casings littering the street and found bullet holes in some parked cars, said Small.

After the shooting, investigators took two men inside a minivan in for questioning. No word yet on any arrests.
