Corrections Officer Admits to Killing Wife: Cops

Investigators say it happened on the 500 block of 3rd Avenue in Tinicum Township, Delaware County.

A corrections officer is in custody after police say he walked into their department and admitted to killing his wife.

It happened Monday around 1 p.m. on the 500 block of 3rd Avenue in Tinicum Township, Delaware County, according to investigators.

Authorities say Winlaw Muzirwa walked into the Tinicum Township Police Station and told officers to cuff him because he "did something bad." Police say he then confessed to shooting his wife, Daisy Jambawo, after an argument.

According to investigators, Police went to the couple's home and found Jambawo shot multuiple times in their bedroom.

Muzirwa is a former corrections officer at the George W. Hill Prison. He is charged with first degree and third degree murder.

Police say the couple has three children. Their ages are 8, 14 and 15. According to officers, they are being taken care of by relatives.
