Corbett Concerned by Immigrant Kids Coming to Pa.

Gov. Tom Corbett says he's concerned about health risks presented by immigrant children who have overwhelmed border facilities in recent months and worried that state dollars would be necessary to care for children coming to Pennsylvania.

Corbett told KDKA-AM radio in Pittsburgh on Friday that the Obama administration hasn't called to discuss its plans to find places for the children to stay.

Corbett says he feels for the children because they are fleeing their counties, and he wants to make sure they're cared for and returned to their countries of origin. But he says the federal government should at least use military bases in Texas or Arizona to sort out any health risks the children may present.

Holy Family Institute in suburban Pittsburgh plans to take in as many as 36 of the children.
