Police Eye Pregnant Woman in Love Triangle Shooting

A pregnant woman is suspected of shooting another woman five times Saturday in Philadelphia, and investigators say the shooting may have been sparked by a love triangle.

Police said Saturday that the suspected shooter and the victim share a "paramour."

The 24-year-old victim was still in critical condition at Temple University Hospital Sunday morning after the shooting, which happened in a house on Willard Street near F Street in Kensington about 3:30 Saturday afternoon.

Police said the 22-year-old pregnant woman was arrested in connection with the shooting, but no formal charges had been filed early Sunday.

The suspect had also been caring for the victim's children, according to police. Both women were involved with the same man, investigators said.

Detectives said social media played a role in escalating an argument between the victim and suspect.
