A police-involved shooting is under investigation in Philadelphia.
Authorities say a police officer on patrol pulled over a reckless driver at 65th and Girard Avenue in West Philadelphia late Thursday night.
Police say the driver was frisked by the officer but then jumped back into the car and started driving away. The officer held onto the driver's clothes as he pulled off. He was dragged several feet before he shot the driver, according to investigators.
The driver was pronounced dead at the hospital. His identity hasn't been released.
