Construction Worker Seriously Hurt at Lower Merion High

A construction worker was seriously hurt in an accident on the grounds of Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pa.

The accident happened on the construction site of a new school building at 245 East Montgomery Avenue just after 4 p.m. Monday, officials say.

A medevaced helicopter was dispatched to rush the worker to a trauma center, officials say.

There is no word yet on how the worker was injured.

The new school has been been under construction for several years, behind the original building, according to the district's website.

The Lower Merion School District is the same school system which has been embroiled in a class action lawsuit alleging officials were spying on students via webcams in their school issued notebook computer.
