Comcast Scores Olympic Rings for Ads as Official Sponsor

Advertisements for Comcast can now include the iconic Olympic rings now that the Philadelphia-based broadcast behemoth is an official sponsor of the games.

Comcast had a strong Q3 thanks in part to the millions in ad sales connected to coverage of the 2016 Rio Olympics in August.Yet, as Philly.com reports, the cable company was unable to use the Olympic rings in Comcast and Xfinity ads.

Now Comcast has become an "official sponsor" of Team USA, in addition to already shelling out $12 billion for the U.S. TV rights to the Olympics through 2032.

Comcast is the parent company of NBC10 and NBC Universal.
