Christie to Hold Latest Town Hall at Shore

Gov. Chris Christie is heading to the Jersey Shore for his latest town hall event.

Christie will be in Long Branch on Tuesday afternoon for the first in a series of summer conversations along the shore.

Christie's office says he will continue to tout his new budget, which delayed payments to the state workers' pension fund, and press for new pension and benefits reforms.

Christie has said he plans to unveil a new set of proposals later this summer aimed at reducing health care and benefits costs.

He'll also take audience questions.

The governor's last town hall meeting was interrupted repeatedly by protesters angry about the budget and state education policies.

Christie is also planning to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Turtle Back Zoo in Essex County.
