Chester County Crash Victims Remembered

The victims were not wearing seatbelts, officials say.

Family and friends gathered during a candle vigil Saturday night to remember two teen victims who were killed in a head-on collision.

State Police say 18-year-old Arick Price, nearing a curve, tried to pass a number of vehicles on State Road and Meadow Woods Lane in London Grove Township. Price collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle shortly after 10 p.m. Friday. Both Price and 15-year-old Victoria Ramos, a passenger in the car, were pronounced dead at the scene.

“On the way Arick decided to pass us and he didn’t even look before he turned into the other lane and like in the blink of an eye his car collided with the other car,” Andi Donald said.

More than 200 students from Avon Grove High School gathered by a nearby roadside memorial to reflect on the victims. Ramos was a freshman and one of eight siblings, according to relatives.

“Just a sweet little girl, very vibrant, outgoing, loving…very happy,” Carmen Coll said.

Price’s family says he graduated in June he leaves behind five siblings.

“He was always a joy and he was always so bright and spirited. He loved riding four-wheelers he was always a dare devil, “ Caroline Rickabaugh said.

Six others were also injured in the crash and were taken to Christiana Hospital in Delaware. Two of the victims had major injuries, according to police.
