Man Wanted in Fire That Killed 2 Teens: Police

Police are searching for a man in connection with a fire that killed two teens in Camden last summer

Camden Police are searching for a person of interest in connection with a fire that killed two teenagers last summer.

Investigators say Quanyrah Houston, 16, and Kenneth Holmes, Jr., 15, died from smoke inhalation after a fire destroyed a home on the 1000 block of Thurman Street in Camden the morning of June 29. Investigators believe the fire maybe a case of arson although tests were inconclusive, according to police.

Authorities released two videos Thursday in hopes that someone will recognize the suspect.

In the first video, the man of a man wearing what appears to be white latex gloves walking along Thurman Street in Camden at the intersection of Newport Street. The video was taken from a corner store security camera at 5:08 a.m., about a half hour before the fire was reported. The second video shows the same man running away from the home just minutes after the fire.

Investigators say some suspicious items were found in front of the house. There was also a domestic dispute at the same house the night before and several arrests were made.
