Caught on Camera: Red Bull Bandits Rob Wawas

Police in South Jersey say a couple spent their weekend stealing hundreds of dollars’ worth of Red Bull.

Toms River Police say surveillance video in multiple Wawa stores along the Route 37 corridor captured the alleged energy drink thieves in action last weekend.

According to police the heists occurred between 4 and 5 p.m. each day. The woman wearing a red shirt would enter the store first, likely serving a lookout, according to investigators.

She would remain in the front of the store as the man, wearing a suit and wheeling a black suitcase, would enter the store and head for the refrigerated beverage storage room.

The man is then seen two to three minutes later leaving the store – his wheelie bag visibly weighed down. The duo then got into a dark, older model Dodge Durango and drove away.

Police said the stores later discovered that they were short some Red Bull. In total about $800 of the energy drink went missing. In total there are four Wawas along Route 37 in the area.

Police described the woman as having shoulder-length brown hair and a tattoo above her left breast. The man is described as having slicked-back, receding brown hair pulled into a pony tail with a chinstrap-style beard.
