Catch Some Rays Without a Raise

Beach tag prices aren't going up this summer

Having to have a beach tag to sit on most of the Jersey Shore beaches is really annoying. Thankfully, the price of beach tags will not go up this summer (because that would be even more annoying).

Towns like Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Avalon, Stone Harbor and Cape May will remain at $10 per week for beach access and $5 per day. Seasonal tags are also available.

"People are looking for value and are looking for ways to stretch their dollar...so we haven't raised anything-- beach tags, parking, anything," Jim Rutala, Ocean City's business administrator told The Inquirer.

In Atlantic County, Brigantine, Ventor and Margate's tag prices have also remained the same (although Margate will offer a free beach day on Thursdays) while some Long Beach Island beaches, like Surf City, have reduced their prices by a dollar.

But if you're looking for the best deal for down the shore, hit up Wildwood or Atlantic City -- they're both free.
