A case of animal cruelty and animal abandonment is under investigation in Berks County.
The Berks-Lehigh Regional Police department says a cat was found Monday morning, inside a pillowcase that had been left on the side of the road, near Route 222 and Long Lane in Maxatawny Township.
The cat was still alive.
The pillowcase with the words "Follow Pixie Dust," depicts two cartoon pixies on it.
This is one of the clues that police hope will lead them to the person responsible.
