Car Crash Leads to Discovery of Human Remains

Police say a car accident led to the discovery of human remains in the Fox Chase section of the city.

Investigators say a driver was speeding on the 1000 block of Napfle Street around 10 a.m. on Saturday when he or she lost control. The vehicle crashed through a fence and went down a small embankment. The driver suffered a broken collarbone in the accident.

As tow truck workers attempted to get the car out of the embankment, investigators say they discovered the bones of an unidentified man near the train tracks.

Police suspect the bones are that of a homeless man who was living in the area though this has not yet been confirmed. At this point they say the man’s death does not appear to be suspicious.

Police continue to investigate. Stay with NBC10.com for more details on this developing story.
