Camden Vigil Reaches 4th Day

The city's 67 homicide victims have been honored since Friday

A vigil for people killed this year in Camden has reached its fourth and final day.

A candle is being lit and a prayer is being said for each victim at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. It honors a different victim each hour.

The vigil began on Friday. It comes to a close on New Year's Eve at 6 p.m.

This year, there are a record 67 homicides in a city of about 77,000 people.

Activists, friends and sometimes relatives of the slain gather at the church to recall those killed.

This year's victims ranged in age from 2 to 66. 13 of them were under the age of 20.
