2 Deadly Shootings Just Hours Apart in Camden

A pair of shootings just hours apart left two dead in a South Jersey city over the weekend.

Police were alerted to a shooting scene Friday night around 9:20 in Camden and found James Rhodes lying in an alleyway between the 2800 block of North Constitution Road and North Congress Road, said Camden County Prosecutors. Authorities on Saturday said Rhodes was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests were made in the slaying of the East Orange man not was anyone arrested for Saturday’s deadly shooting of Curtis Chambers along the 1200 block of Whitman Avenue—about two miles away – around 12:30 a.m.
