State Rep. W. Curtis Thomas held a news conference at his district headquarters in North Philadelphia this morning to address the recent shootings that have taken place in communities surrounding Philadelphia Housing Authority Developments.
Thomas presented recommendations to combat the escalating gun violence in the district that has resulted in numerous injuries and several murders.
He was joined by representatives from the seven affected housing developments (Richard Allen, Cambridge, Spring Garden, Warnock, Fairhill, Harrison and Norris), U.S. Department of Justice, School District of Philadelphia’s Office of Safety and Climate Control, and the 181 Coordinating Council.
