Burned Out SUV Belongs to Missing Philadelphia Man

Investigators determined a burned out SUV that was found over two weeks ago belongs to a missing Philadelphia man.

Vito Maglio, 69, of the 2000 block of Gorman Street was last seen leaving Macaroni’s Restaurant Lounge on 9315 Old Bustleton Avenue around 6 p.m. back on Dec. 14.

On Dec. 16 police found a 2008 GMC Yukon on the 5800 block of North Beechwood Street. The vehicle had been on fire but the flames were extinguished, according to investigators.

Investigators later determined the vehicle belonged to Maglio. On Tuesday they searched through the wreckage for clues.

Maglio is described as a medium-built man with brown eyes and short gray hair standing 5-foot-5 and weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black suit jacket and black shoes. He also suffers from several medical conditions which require medication.
