Future Philly SVU Headquarters Collapse

Four hurt when roof collapses at Feltonville construction site

The planned future home of Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit collapsed Tuesday as four people landed in the hospital.

The Philadelphia Fire Department rushed to the scene of the collapse in the Feltonville section of the city. Fire officials tell NBC10 that the roof line collapsed on the under construction building on the 300 block of East Hunting Park Avenue.

Four people were taken to local hospitals with what firefighters described as back and neck pain. Firefighters say the injuries don't appear to be life threatening.

As Chopper10 flew over the scene at 1:30 p.m., one person was being helped into an ambulance.

Police say that there was no completion date for the new SVU headquarters.
