Bucks Co. Ups Number of Probable Swine Flu Cases in Pa.

20-year-old woman recently traveled to Mexico

The Bucks County Health Department has been notified of its first probable case of H1N1 virus, state health officials said in a press release Sunday.

The case involves a 20-year-old woman who recently went to Mexico.  She is receiving treatment and has not required hospitalization.

Health officials in Pennsylvania are working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to investigate the case and to make sure the virus is contained as much as possible.

The term "probable" means the county has received positive results from the state lab. The virus can only be confirmed through a CDC test.

The five other possible swine flu cases reported in the state are in Philadelphia or Montgomery County

In the Tri-State area, there are a total of eleven confirmed cases and 25 probable cases:

Delaware:
10 Confirmed (All of the confirmed cases are Univ. of Del. students)
16 Probable (two are elementary students in the Red Clay District)

New Jersey:
7 Confirmed
1 Probable

Pennsylvania:
Zero Confirmed
6 Probable (4 in Philadelphia; 1 in Montgomery County; 1 in Bucks County)

The CDC visited the University of Delaware on Friday, where all the cases in that state have originated.
