Teen Shoots, Kills 16-Year-Old Girl: Police

Police in western Pennsylvania say a teenager has been charged and a second suspect is being sought in the shooting death of a 16-year-old girl at a Pittsburgh-area housing complex.

Allegheny County homicide investigators said police and paramedics found the girl's body when they were called to the Hawkins Village housing complex in Rankin shortly after 7:30 p.m. Friday.
 
The county medical examiner's office identified her as Delasia Dutrieuille.
 
Lt. Andrew Schurman said investigators believe she had been robbed shortly before the shooting and confronted one of the robbers, who shot her. He said the shooting was captured on surveillance cameras.
 
A 16-year-old youth was charged with homicide. Police were searching an apartment building in nearby Braddock and surrounding woods for a second person seen fleeing the scene.
