Police Find 3-Year-Old Boy and Gun Inside Suspect's Car in Upper Darby

Police found a young boy and a gun inside a suspect’s car in Upper Darby Wednesday night.

Police pulled over an unidentified man around 7 p.m. on 62nd and Locust streets in Philadelphia. The suspect then allegedly drove away from the scene during the traffic stop.

Police eventually found the vehicle at West Chester Pike and Church Lane in Upper Darby. A 3-year-old boy and a gun were inside while the suspect was nowhere to be found. Investigators say the boy is the son of the suspect’s girlfriend.

Police continue to search for the suspect. They have not yet released a description or revealed why they initially pulled him over.
