Young A.C. Mother Strangled, Body Found in Van

Police are investigating the death of a young woman found dead along an Atlantic City street.

The young woman whose body was found Thursday afternoon inside a minivan in Atlantic City, New Jersey, was probably strangled. The Atlantic County prosecutor says an autopsy will be performed today to determine the official cause of death, but investigators do believe at this point that is how she died. Initially, the prosecutor's office told us that she was shot to death.

We also know the identity of the victim now. Her name is Siddiqah Bryant. She was 23 years old and according to a local councilman, she was a mother.

Bryant's body was found inside the van, which was parked along the 1800 block of Arctic Avenue in Atlantic City.

No arrests have been made. The Major Crimes Unit and A.C. Police are asking anyone with information to call or email. There are two phone numbers -- 609-909-7666 or 609-347-5774. And you can click here for the website that leads you to tips and information for Crime Stoppers of Atlantic City.
