Laquan Lattimore's uncle sang in his memory Thursday night as his family coped with the tragedy.

Police confirmed the 11-year-old boy's body was pulled out of the Darby Creek Wednesday after he went missing while riding his bicycle with friends in his Philadelphia suburb.

Lattimore's body was found along the creek near Montgomery Park and Taylor Drive in Folcroft, Delaware County Wednesday shortly after 3 p.m. On Thursday officials confirmed the body was that of Lattimore. Officials told family members Lattimore drowned accidentally.

Lattimore went missing Monday afternoon. The boy was last seen riding his mountain bike, which is spray-painted gold, in the area of King Avenue and Chester Pike in Folcroft around 3 p.m. that day.

It’s now up to the medical examiner to determine whether the body found in a Delaware County creek is that of the missing 11-year-old boy, Laquan Lattimore. He was last seen on his bike more than 48 hours ago. NBC10’s Keith Jones has the latest.

"He did leave his cellphone at his house," said FBI spokesman JJ Klaver. "... he's never run away before, he's never gone missing before... there's no clear indication of foul play at this point but we are considering every possibility."

Family members say they still have questions after the boy's death. They told NBC10 he was not a swimmer and don't believe he would have gone in the water on his own.

"There's a lot to be investigated," said Lattimore's cousin Tionah Zellars. "A lot of people to be looked at. We just don't believe it happened the way it did."

Police still haven't found the boy's bike or backpack and also don't know who he was with at the time of his disappearance. They also haven't determined why a non-swimmer would've gotten into the murky, fast-moving Darby Creek.

"As of right now, as the family, no we don't believe that Laquan was a jumper into the creek," Zellars said. "Not at all."

At this point police don't believe Lattimore's death was malicious. Yet while they don't plan on charging anyone in connection to the incident they told NBC10 they want to speak with whoever was with Laquan at the time of his death in order to get answers for his family.
