“Suspicious” Body Found at Old Lumber Yard

Police say the death of a decomposed body found near an abandoned lumber yard in eastern Pennsylvania is considered suspicious.

Falls Township Police Lt. Hank Ward tells the Bucks County Courier Times that a couple was looking for mushrooms when they found the body under a tarp just before 4 p.m. Saturday when he found a decomposed body under a tarp in a wooded area near the former Haddonfield Lumber Co. along M-Y Lane in Morrisville, Pa.

Ward says the skeletal remains were found face down and that police consider the death “suspicious” though he wouldn't specify why.

The Bucks County coroner's office did not immediately return a call for comment Monday.

Police say the body was so badly decomposed that police could not immediately determine whether the remains were male or female. Police say there was some clothing found on the remains, however.
