A man may have been accidentally crushed to death in a trash compactor Wednesday morning.
His body was found in a garbage truck after workers "heard a noise" in the back of the truck, according to police. The workers had just picked up trash at the Boone School and were headed to their next stop a few blocks away at George Washington Carver High School in North Philadelphia.
Detectives called it a case of "sudden death." Police say it's possible the man was homeless and may have been sleeping in a dumpster.
