Bill Cosby to Friends & Family: ‘Thank You'

Bill Cosby thanked supporters in a brief message on Twitter Thursday following his arrest in Montgomery County on sexual assault charges.

The message says, "Friends and fans, Thank You."

The 78-year-old comedian was charged this week with drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in 2004 inside his Elkins Park home.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele alleges Cosby rendered former Temple University employee Andrea Constand "frozen, paralyzed, unable to move" by plying her with pills and wine, then penetrating her with his fingers when she was unconscious or unaware of what was happening.

It's the first criminal case brought against Cosby out of the torrent of allegations that destroyed his good-guy image as America's Dad.

Cosby's attorney has said the charge is unjustified and predicted his client will be exonerated.

Cosby is free on $1 million bail pending trial.
