Speeding Car Crashes Into Parked Vehicles in Lehigh Valley, 3 Die in Resulting Fire

A car crashed into three parked vehicles and burst into flames, killing three people inside in eastern Pennsylvania, police said.

Bethlehem Township police said the crash happened shortly after 1:20 a.m. Friday along Willow Park Road.

Police said they had reports of a car driving at a high rate of speed in the area shortly before the crash.

They said one man was able to run from the burning vehicle, but that three other people inside couldn't escape the flames. Doctors at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest treated the man for severe burns, said police.

The Northampton County coroner and police were working to identify the dead victims.

Police asked anyone who might have witnesses the crash or knew anything about the victims to call 610-759-2200.
