A big loss for the tight-knit community of Delaware County first responders.
Deputy Chief Michael Morgan died Sunday morning at Fitzgerald-Mercy Hospital.
Morgan was a very active member of the Fire Company and community for more than 30 years according to an earlier post on the station’s Facebook page. He was also a Delaware County 911 dispatcher.[[384469041,C]]
“Mike, we love you brother. You've dedicated your entire life to others and we are eternally grateful for having known you. You will forever live on in our hearts and memories. Rest in Peace Chief, you've earned it,” the post reads.
Morgan underwent emergency surgery in May after suffering a stroke.

Friday night a post went up notifying followers Morgan's family made the difficult choice of placing him in hospice and asked for continued prayers and support.
