As the bell rang out and candles were lit, residents of Kensington gathered Sunday evening to remember two Philadelphia firefighters who died while battling a factory fire in their neighborhood last week.
A group of fellow firefighters joined in the memorial, just one day after Lt. Robert Neary and Firefighter Daniel Sweeney, both from Ladder 10 were laid to rest.
Community members said they wanted an opportunity to express their condolences and appreciation for the sacrifice these two men made for them.
