D.C. Based On-Demand Beauty and Fitness App Coming in Time for DNC

Do you want a makeup artist, personal trainer or masseuse to come straight to your home? There's an app for that, and it's coming to Philadelphia just in time for the Democratic National Convention.

Veluxe, a Washington, D.C.-based, on-demand beauty and fitness app, was founded less than two years ago by entrepreneur Susanna Quinn — and wife of prominent Democratic lobbyist and lawyer Jack Quinn — as a way to solve the problems for busy professionals looking to "feel and look good and be healthy."

Veluxe connects clients with service providers offering blowouts, massages, personal training, yoga and more on their schedule at their homes, hotel rooms and even offices.

"It's four clicks and someone shows up," she said. "It's very much like Uber. It's become so easy it's a habit."
