Philly Police Search for Shooting Suspect

Police say the suspect in the shooting barricaded himself inside a home on Montana Street

Police are searching for a gunman who shot a man inside a Philadelphia apartment.

The suspect shot a 26-year-old man in the lower back inside an apartment on the 2800 block of North 26th Street at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday. The victim was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Police say the suspect in the shooting barricaded himself inside a home on Montana Street around 5:30 p.m. SkyForce10 was over the scene as a few people were taken out of the house and placed in police custody.

Officers and SWAT went inside the home. They later told NBC10 however they did not find the suspect inside the house and continue to search for him.
