Horse Barn, House Burn

A horse barn and a house burned out of control this afternoon shooting flames and thick smoke high into the air.

The blaze broke out around 12:15 inside a large barn on Congo Road in Gilbertsville, Montgomery County, Pa. Black smoke could be seen from miles away. According to the Pottstown Mercury, More than 10 fire companies we called in to fight the blaze. 

There were no reports of injuries to any people and all the horses were in the field when the blaze started.

The property has at least four structures on it including the large barn and a multi-story red house. Both buildings appeared to be fully engulfed.

Sweeney posted video of firefighters battling the blaze to the Mercury's website. She also reported that some explosions could be heard.
