Bank of America to Add 500 Jobs in Delaware

The addition of jobs will happen over the next three years, officials say

Bank of America says it will add more than 500 jobs over the next three years to its workforce in Delaware.

Gov. Jack Markell said Thursday that the bank's decision is a strong endorsement of the state's workforce and its commitment to middle-class careers supported by the financial industry.

BOA executive David Darnell said state officials have created an exceptional environment for the bank to do business.

Bank of America also said it will donate one of its buildings in Wilmington for use by a new nonprofit organization that aims to help charter schools in Delaware.
