Police say they busted a Pennsylvania bank robber in less time than it usually takes to see a teller.
Just nine minutes elapsed between the time Scranton police received the robbery report Wednesday and an officer took the man into custody.
The Times-Tribune of Scranton reports the call came in a 9:20 a.m. and Cpl. Richard Bachman detained a man matching the robber's description at 9:29, about a half-mile from the bank.
Investigators say 51-year-old Robert Demcher admitted robbing the bank and a convenience store the night before. They say he claimed to have a gun in each robbery but didn't recover a weapon.
Demcher is being held on $200,000 bail. It's not clear if he has an attorney.
