Bank Robber Gets 64 Years in Prison

New Jersey man was sentenced on Monday to spend 64 years in prison for three armed bank robberies.

In August, Steven L. Baker of Magnolia, New Jersey was found guilty of the 2009 robberies; he used a firearm in each. While he received 87-months for the robberies, he got 684-months for the related firearm offenses. The sentences are to run consecutively.

In addition to the 64-year sentence, he is to serve five years of supervised release and pay a restitution of $145,000 to the banks he robbed.

Baker’s co-conspirator, Deshawn Clayton of Ocean Grove, NJ, faces sentencing on Tuesday. He plead guilty to one of the armed robberies.
