Baker Shot to Death in Robbery

The owner of Alex’s Bakery in Woodlynne, N.J., was shot and killed Wednesday night when three armed men attempted to rob his store, say police.

Oscar Medina, 29, a father of two was shot dead inside his bakery when three men attempted to hold the place up at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, say police.

Family members say the alleged robbers didn’t take anything before fleeing the scene.

Surveillance images have been obtained, which may identify one or more of the suspects, sources say. Investigators spent the day questioning customers and neighbors to see if they noticed any activity at the bakery last night.

Investigators say they don't yet know why Medina was shot. He was found dead at the scene.
