Seven people, including a baby, were sent to the hospital after an accident involving a taxi cab and an SUV in Atlantic City.

It happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Route 30.

Police say three people were inside the cab while four people were in the SUV. Five of the victims were taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center while a mother and her baby were taken to the hospital’s city campus.

Investigators say a 61-year-old man who was seated in the back of the cab suffered serious injuries while everyone else suffered non-life threatening injuries. The baby was checked for precautionary measures, according to police.
