Atlantic City to Spend Almost $600K on Holiday Decor

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority agreed to spend the money in hopes of attracting more visitors at a time when the casinos are struggling.

Atlantic City is getting $595,000 to deck the halls in time for Christmas.

The Press of Atlantic City reports 6-foot candy canes will adorn each light post on Atlantic Avenue and a 35-foot-tall Christmas tree with 3,000 lights will sparkle in the South Inlet.
 
Atlantic City also plans to hold a Christmas parade on Dec. 1.
